Fallout 3 code for Fallout 4 preorder was already Redeemed

I just received my Fallout 3 code for preordering Fallout 4 today from Xbox Live through my Live account message system. When I typed in the code it came up "Already Redeemed". I then went back to the message and copied and pasted it. Same result. So, finally,
I went to Xbox.com and opened the message and clicked on the code to redeem but got the same message. I then went to support via Live Chat. They checked the code to verify it had been redeemed and the game wasn't on my account. I was told to come here and
post my problem and I'd be answered very soon. So here it is.

I never redeemed my Fallout 3 code for my digital preorder of Fallout 4 and the message has expired.

I never redeemed my Fallout 3 code from my Fallout 4 preorder, and it's gone from my inbox. I chatted with support and they told me to post here.

 

You are not alone. The same thing happened to me. Got the message from Xbox LIve around noon. Got home from work and did exactly as you: tried redeeming on xbox.com and the console. Got the same "already redeemed" message. What is going on?

Is there a chance that both of you already redeemed Fallout 3 for Xbox 360on your account?

While signed into Xbox.com, check out the Fallout 3 for Xbox 360 product page, click 'Buy Game', and it should either pop-up with a message saying
"You already own this item" or continue the steps to purchase. If it continues to ask you to purchase the game, don't go further and then post back here letting us know. Also, you both may need to try redeeming again today, as there were a few hiccups with
redeeming items on the Xbox Store yesterday.

Report back as soon as you guys check!

 

I am certain that my code hasn't been received by me as I checked with customer service and they verified the code had been redeemed but not on my account.

 

For me, it does turn out that I already had, somehow, maybe as a previous games with gold game, purchased the game on my account. It comes up, as you stated, as previously purchased. Thanks. I wish you luck Nate882004.
