Fallout 1 and 2 start on my pc

Please try doing an update on your PC.

Start > ; Settings > ; Update & Security > ; Windows Update , and then select Check for updates. Update your PC then restart.

Try to delete and reinstall gaming services:

Launch powershell as an administrator and enter “get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers”

In the same powershell window, enter “start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN”

Install the app on that page, including accepting the UAC prompt when shown.

If it does not show up, go to Microsoft store, search for gaming services and reinstall gaming services from there.

Restart your PC then reinstall the game.

when i try to run wsreset as an administrator the app has an error sayin that iit cant find the purge cashe

Please do this:
Reset Xbox app settings.

Click Start and click Settings.
Select System.
Select Apps & features.
Find the Xbox app and click Advanced options.
Click Reset.
Restart your device so that the changes can take effect.

Reset the store app.
Start
Search "wsreset"
Right click and open as administrator.
Wait for the prompt and store app will open.
Reinstall the game.

Disable anti-virus
Try opening the game.

[/quote]There are Mac ports of 1 and 2 (the majority of my time spent with them was with the Mac ports, interestingly enough), but they stopped working after OS 10.6 released. However, you can get the PC version of
Fallout 1 to run on Macs through Wine or Crossover, just not in fullscreen.
Fallout 2 works also, but it's really, really laggy, which eventually led me to just buy a new gaming PC so I could play all my old PC games again (albeit, I had to re-buy a lot of them because I sold my disc versions to help pay for a Mac and the
Mac ports of Fallout 1 and 2 way back when, but good investment overall). Still, if you're stuck with only a Mac but want to play
Fallout 1 again, I'd recommend giving Crossover a try (it's free for 30 days; Wine is free in general, but it's hard to set up)
