    Hi,

    So I've just been banned from communicating on Xbox Live, for the second time in four months - and for exactly the same reason. There was a group of players trolling in the game I was playing - previously it was Battlefield 1 but this time, Rainbow Six:
    Siege - who were killing teammates and then messaging them, to provoke a response.

    I fell for it, reacted angrily and they reported my reply. The first ban was for 24 hours, this one is now a week long.

    The Microsoft Support rep I was talking to first told me to click Apply for Review on the Enforcement, which I did - only to be told I didn't qualify for a free review. Instead, I was supposed to jump through hoops in the form of a never-ending questionnaire.
    When I said I didn't have the time or patience for that, she directed me here.

    So here I am. She told me to name the gamertags of the trolls involved in that case review, which I will do if requested - no doubt they're ruining the fun for everyone else they're playing with. I've even been sent abusive messages by other players on their
    friends list as I've been typing this, which I have just reported myself.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    One you can't name or shame on forums

    2nd the only way is to fill out the questionnaire for a review but since you admit to replying angrier you do realize it doesn't matter if they gouge you or not how you conduct yourself is still must be rated e for everyone and still punishable if you break
    the rules

    And no the pet team doesn't look here

    And yes Sphone support doesn't know how forums work

    Only options are one you ignore and provide rep reports

    And then block and report via enforcement reports found on your console which you select The msga and a dialog shows up asking what kind of report

    I've already reported the messages sent to me. I don't see why I have to keep my cool with someone sending abusive messages from the safety of their bedrooms. I'll report and block them, but not before I let them know exactly what I think of them - regardless
    of how some farcical "E for Everyone" guideline says I should do it. The reality is the report function is being abused, bans are being handed out without proper investigation and decent players are suffering because of it.

    I don't even use my microphone when I'm playing online, unless I'm in Party Chat with friends. That didn't stop the trash-talking reports on the Xbox 360, and it seems the new Rep system is barely any different.

    The whole thing is a mess.

    It's not being abused you just don't understand it

    One it can be used by everyone

    If you break the rules you are still liable

    Trolling doesn't make you immune for enforcement for any retailiation

    Your only option is to ignore it

    Also multiple violations will only end badly for you

    Including a perm ban of your account

    The end doesn't justify the means

    Being Rated e for everyone means everyone not just trolls

    You are mixing two completely different issues

    One reporting system for enforcement and reputation is completely different

    Both is valid as you just proved

    You retaliated guess what you get bad rep and would be very valid

    As you gave bad communications even though in retailiation

    The ends doesn't justify the means that's what's you aren't getting

    If you conduct yourself in not rated e for everyone guess what you also get an enforcement punishment if reported

    What they say to you doesn't make any of your actions justifiable

    You can block and ignore it isn't rocket science

    And FYI reputation works two ways just like real life live life and play fair it's that simple
