Fall Out 3 code Gone

I purchased Fallout 4 in September, at that time I did receive my Fallout 3 redeem code. Since it was not backwards compatible I left my message alone to save for when the game would be backwards compatible. I went to check on it today and my message was
gone so contacted Xbox support and they said messages disapear after 30 days. And that I needed to contact Bethesda since it was their issue. I contacted Bethesda support and they informed me that I needed to contact the retailer that I purchased the game
from since they have the codes. I contacted Xbox support again since the game was purchased on Xbox Live and now I have been refered to this forum for help on trying to get my code or new code setup so that I can get my copy of Fallout 3 since it came with
my purchase of Fallout 4. So I am hoping someone here can help.
