Fake xbox controller - issues with microsoft support

Hi,
I recently purchased an xbox controller (model 1914) to use on a windows 8.1 pc via the included usb cable
The controller does not work and will not download drivers. I contacted microsoft via chat (1 hour) and the representative stated that the controller is fake due to the SKU, they told me to pursue a warranty claim with the vendor (which doesn't really make sense imo), but were unwilling to provide me with any proof. I did not get any screenshots of the chat and a transcript was not emailed to me.

I contacted microsoft via chat again and was transferred to 3 different people all clearly from the incorrect departments and wasted a further 3/4 hour, I did manage to get a case number from this chat, but since the chat itself achieved very little, I doubt that is of much use

Is there a way to interact with microsoft support that is not a complete waste of time?

After 3 chat sessions, 3 different nights, 3 hours, and 8 Microsoft representatives, the final one (Jan M) chose to send me a replacement controller.
Not a single one confirmed that the controller was fake, or whether this controller is meant to work on windows 8.1
Time will tell if the new controller works, I found the whole support process very unsatisfactory. It has been a long time since I have used Microsoft support (windows reactivation after hardware changes/reformats), and previously found it to be decent.

Unfortunately, we would be unable to assist you with this matter. If you filled in fake information there would be no way to retrieve the account on file. You can try to
reach out to the Microsoft account team with your issue but it's unlikely they will be able to help if you again, used fake information when
creating the parental account.

Since this is a Microsoft Account issue, Xbox Support, nor forum support can help in this case. You will need to exclusively speak with the Microsoft Account team.

This is because the XBOX app will make fake XBOX one controller connection to your XBOX ONE

while you streaming. Thus while you start the streaming XBOX party app automatically switch to use that mic not actually exist of the fake controller.

There once was a simple solution to this problem which was to assign that fake controller to a guest account however that fake controller does not visible in the XBOX setting now so there just no way to solve that.

This just shows how stupid and incapable those who in charge of the XBOX services now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
