Fake Console

I'm going to buy an xbox one 500G used and i wanted to now how to spot a fake one in case it happens and where is the reference number on the console, thanks.

eBay will give you fakes. Fakes lead to reduced console life, risk of injury, risk of fire, risk of your console just not working...So use myservice.

 

Never heard of a "fake" Xbox One console. I'd be more concerned with whether it works properly and if it's been banned from LIVE. If you're buying it from a stranger with no warranty then I would make sure to test it out first.

The prior owner could have been a bad boy and MS could have Perma-banned the Console from Connecting to XBL. If so MS will not "unban" the Console just because someone else has it now.

Very bad idea buying used.

 

So i just need to log in live and see if works?

 

And by the way, can i use my outlook account in xbox live eventhough prior owner may have used his?

 

As long as the console has been factory reset and you can log into live from your account you'll be fine. The reset will clear any of the previous owner's data.

 

Never buy used consoles. Because it might been banned. And it become self aware. If turn on 666 times after the banned.

 

Yeah but if i try it before i buy it and i try to play any game online, if it's banned i will not be abble to play and i will notice wright away, am i wright?

 

If it's already banned yes, but you won't be able to tell if something has been done to it that would cause it to be banned in the future.

 

All I can suggest is purchasing the console from a reputable known seller that way if something happens you will hopefully be able to make them resolve the issue.

That being said in my opinion the price difference between new and used console is usually quite small so I would generally choose new. Also don't forget retailers are selling out old stock now at a very competitive price.

 

I'm not being nosey and asking what your paying for this used console but have you checked online and local stores for any deals they doing?

I just say this because my local GAME, Sainsbury have had some fantastic deals ( with and without games ) lately especially since the Xbox Slim was released

no good signing in and testing to see if it has been banned, it could be under investigation or in the queue and then could be banned a few months down the line even if you own it. always buy from a reputable dealer with warranty.
