    Failure to USB factory reset


    Had the issue many have/are having where some HDMI out port prongs have broken off in the HDMI cable on my Xbox One Series X, but that's beside the point, trying to factory reset using the USB method since I cant see what I'm doing if I tried the other way. Followed the official instructions and the console made the two power on bleeps but then made the power off bleep which according to the instructions means it failed after initiating the process, any idea why and/or how I can fix this?

    Hello Freddy, unfortunately when it comes to offline reset there is no other way to perform the procedure.

    I don't know what error your console was showing, usually they are errors E101, E102, if your console is showing any errors like these, usually offline reset can't fix it.

    Yeah sadly I don't know either due to the HDMI out port pins breaking off but thank you for the advice anyway, also merry Christmas!

    Update failure/Factory Reset?

    I was able to do the startup troubleshooter and get it to factory reset and when i go to set the console up now its still needing the exact same 458mb update as it did before and it still is unable to get past the 25% Verifying. I do not get any error codes
    nor notifications, it just ceases to load anymore. Ive reset the xbox, router, everything, ive never had this issue with a previous update.

    Any other ideas before i just go buy a new console? :(

    i do not own a PC to do a USB offline update.

    You are Trying using some Insider System? you can try make the update by USB Flash Card
