    Failure to load sign in screen


    I'm having an issue that I can't find any specifics about so let me explain what's happening.

    I own an Xbox one s console and am currently using a wifi network that requires me to authenticate(secondary sign in) it every 24 hours or so. However now and in the past if for any reason I turn off my console while it doesn't have or it loses its authentication while it's shut down it will not start up properly.

    It takes an extended period of time to get past the green Xbox logo and from there instead of continuing to the sign in screen it gives me a black screen. I can still hold the home button to get the quick power options and pressing it makes the screen lighten as if I'd brought up the quick home tab but nothing beyond that works.

    The only way I've gotten past this is to press the home button so the screen lightens and then let the console go idle until the clock appears in the bottom left corner. From there interacting sends me to the home screen bypassing the broken sign in in a way.

    Has anyone else had this issue and if so how has it not been fixed?

    Spots appearing on screen combined with system instability are often a sign of GPU failure. It's worth trying the things mentioned in the other reply, but your console may need to be serviced or replaced.

    Jyxa, thanks. I'm just livid that no on at Microsoft is speaking up. The faulty disc drive is an obvious hardware failure, but what about games not loading, not installing, crashing back to home screen repeatedly etc….Seems to be plauging every launch
    game.
