    Failure to launch


    For the last 2 months when I try to start the game all I get is the splash screen. It sits there for several seconds before it minimises. The splash screen does nothing, I do not even get the timer showing. So it is impossible to play the game.

    I am having a similar issue. Where I go to launch titanfall and it asks if I own the game or app when the disc is clearly in the drive. If I eject the disc and put it back in it will launch the game. Frustrating!

    There are a couple things I'd suggest trying. First, make sure to install all available updates - both for the app and Windows. Then restart your device and try launching the game again. If that still doesn't work, try uninstalling the app and reinstalling
    it.

    I have the same problem.

    Just uninstalled, checked for updates, restarted and reinstalled and still I have the same problem.

    All it does is display the splash screen then switch to the previous program you were using.

    Is the game fully closed, or just minimized? If you open Task Manager (CTRL+ALT+DEL), does it show up under the list of running Apps?

    The game remains running and I can switch back to it, but that still just displays the splash screen for a while before switching to the last program I used.

    It's not just this app (just discovered) same thing happens with all the games I've downloaded so far (minesweeper, solitaire, jigsaw, Dead Call)

    Hmmm... That would seem to indicate some larger issues. Try running Windows Update. Are there any OS updates available for you to install?

    Just looked in a bit more detail.

    Though the app appears to be running, (shows in task bar etc.) I can't find it in task manager

    Problem Solved

    I have the N version of Windows installed.

    Needed to install the Media Pack.

    Would have been nice to have been told by the software.

    I've just unplugged the power supply and left for a few minutes and hey presto it works well after flashing installing play installing

    My xbox won't recognize any game discs. I have the Update Preview. I'm getting the dirty or damaged message as well... I guess the solution is to just wait? Maybe look for a PS4 in the meantime?
