failure to launch

Every time I try to launch COD ghosts the console will not recognize the disc. It is not dirty or damaged, it asks me to clean in every time. I cannot start the game until I hard restart the console. This is extremely frustrating. The game, when it does
launch, usually launches immediately into single player. Please advise.

There are a couple things I'd suggest trying. First, make sure to install all available updates - both for the app and Windows. Then restart your device and try launching the game again. If that still doesn't work, try uninstalling the app and reinstalling
it.

I have the N version of Windows installed.

Needed to install the Media Pack.

Would have been nice to have been told by the software.

 

Are you in the Update Preview? If so, that is the issue, and it is pretty common.

There's an issue with the latest update causing some errors when using the Blu-Ray drive, but the team's latest update indicates they have found the cause of these and are doing final testing on their fixes. Hopefully another update will be out soon and
the annoying issue you are having will vanish.

 

My xbox won't recognize any game discs. I have the Update Preview. I'm getting the dirty or damaged message as well... I guess the solution is to just wait? Maybe look for a PS4 in the meantime?

 

I am having a similar issue. Where I go to launch titanfall and it asks if I own the game or app when the disc is clearly in the drive. If I eject the disc and put it back in it will launch the game. Frustrating!

 

You're all having issues with the preview update. A fix is coming soon, one has been identified and is undergoing testing. It should not be too long before it is rolled out.

I'm having the same issue today, both titan fall and battlefield 4 will not load and telling me to clean disc, no problem yesterday,starting to think buying an xb1 was a mistake nothing but problems but one thing I know there's is a ton of extra stuff to
pay for #slapping your ares

I've just unplugged the power supply and left for a few minutes and hey presto it works well after flashing installing play installing
