    Failure to access key system xbox one


    Good afternoon I would like to report a bug in security purchases xbox one, in case the system system allows delete a security key without asking to put the key before it is removed.

    In the Settings / Create Access Key menu can enter a new passkey to put more security on our account, one reason for the use of this key is to prevent a purchase without our permission is made.

    A registered time this passkey every time you need to buy something in game store before the purchase is finalized it will be necessary to put the passkey.

    In the case of this system error occurs when the access key can be deleted without the need to confirm the same, coming from the same menu that was created to access key there is the option to delete the passkey and when selected it removes the key without
    asking the User to confirm the code you chose in the creation of the access key.

    Guest pass key fault!

    Hi!

    I'm having an issue with resetting my guest pass key, I have forgotten the guest key pass key and am unable to reset it. I sign in and navigate to settings, system, sign in, guest pass key reset after entering an incorrect pass key the system freezes. I
    have read on this forum that the system should revert to requesting for owner sign in pass key but this is not happening with my xbox one! I have restarted the system several times but issue is still occurring.

    Has any one knowledge how to resolve this...

    Would I be able to use an Xbox One with NO internet connection?

    You can update your Xbox One offline as long as you have access to a PC with internet connection and USB key that can be used to transport the update file to your Xbox One

    support.xbox.com/.../offline-system-update-diagnostic-tool

    To use your Xbox without an Internet connection you will have to put it into "Offline" mode otherwise it will try to log you into Live and complain about no internet connection. You can do this in the Network settings on your Xbox One.

    There is an option to require passkey before changing settings.

    Use that option and no one will be able to delete your passkey because they wont be able to change any settings without entering passkey first.

    Good Morning caeleb,

    I would try the following steps to see if they resolve the issue.

    1. Make sure the Console is turned off
    2. Unplug the Console from the wall
    3. Unplug and reconnect all the cabling
    1. If you have any A/V equipment or your STB connected you will want to keep them unplugged for now
    • After the console has been unplugged for 2 minutes, plug the console back in and reboot the system
    At this point, if the Console is still doing the same thing I would try the next steps.

    • In Step 2 you will download the OSUDT1 file
    If these steps do not resolve the issue, I would recommend calling Xbox Support at 1.800.469.9269 or request a callback
    here. This may most likely require a repair to be started of it is still happening.
