Failed to obtain NAT type during Android streaming.

While I appreciate the suggestion, I'm not sure that reddit forums are official xbox forums for assistance. I don't typically use reddit.

Also, technically, my question applies to both streaming to PC and to Android mobile devices, as I cannot enable streaming from my xbox at all since it 'fails to obtain the NAT type' during the streaming test.

I'm not sure how you set your NAT to open on Xbox.com, but here is our NAT Guide (forums.xbox.com/.../34069.aspx) you can try.

There are different types of NAT (Network Address Translation) that can exist in a network, but one common way to identify if you are behind a NAT is to check the IP address assigned to your Android device.

Open the Settings app on your Android device.

Tap on "About phone" or "About device."

Look for the "IP address" or "Wi-Fi IP address" section. Note down the IP address assigned to your device.

Go to a computer or another device that is connected to the same network as your Android device and open a web browser.

In the address bar, type the IP address you noted down in step 3 and press Enter.

If you can access a website or service on the device, then you are not behind a NAT. However, if you cannot access the website or service, it is likely that you are behind a NAT.

remember that both need to perform the tests and have the same NAT to play together

I bet it's your nat type. My buddy used a university connection for a while and his nat was always strict. Streaming services are not dependent on NAT type as much as multiplayer gaming. Even if you find an ethernet connection it will not change your nat.
