Failed to install Minecraft

    Failed to install Minecraft


    I just purchased Minecraft from the website, and i downloaded the launcher. I can't install the game through the launcher. This error message comes up when i try installing, and the download stops.

    I have Windows 11. It's the Java edition, 1.20.1. I already tried: Unisnstalling the launcher and re-downloading it; going to settings - installed apps - and repairing/resetting (both with the Minecraft app and the gaming services app). I also have installed the latest version of Java. I don't know what else to do.

    That didn't seem to work for me, still failing with the same error on bedrock minecraft install through any method.

    I tried to download said launcher from the Xbox store at Minecraft Launcher | Xbox but it says I require the Xbox app, when I download said app, it gives me the same error when I press play.

    Hello Elysianxoxx, have you checked if you have the latest version of Windows installed, at 21H2, because recently came out the latest update to Windows 10 and 11.

    Updates often seen as optional, Microsoft released major fixes this week, and make sure you have the Xbox Companion App installed.

    If you haven't updated yet, click the link below, update and then make all subsequent security updates.

    Earlier the same day I tried to download the new minecraft launcher and I ran into the same problem, later that day I tried to see if it was everything I download so I attempted to see by installing three unrelated applications but all three of them failed to install and I haven't checked anything else yet but those three apps still fail to install
