Failed System Update

I have the same.issue but for the Xbox one X. Tried everythinb but dont get the option to.offline update it.

Even a full factory reset just doe this and goes to the error screen again.

Tried the sync button power off as suggested. No change. Still going straight to the error screen. Frustrating...

I cant access the dashboard. Upon turning the power on, it goes straight to the error screen after a brief attempt to finish the download. No options are available. Pushing the xbox button or any other button does nothing.

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. The best course of action would be to manually bring up the troubleshooting menu and perform and

Offline System Update by doing the following:

1. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
   
2. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.
3. Press and hold the BIND button (located below the Xbox button on the console) and the
   EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press the
   Xbox button on the console.
4. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.
   
5. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the
   BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.
6. The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.

Let us know how this goes!

 

I've done all the required parts multiple times.

Reset.

Take out.power lead wait a bit plug back in .

Hold.in the buttons until you hear the noise (only get the one start-up sound by the way unless you count the power on one as well). But it takes me to the troubleshoot section.

still no joy regardless of the option picked though and offline update is unavailable.

Factory reset keeping apps and games

Full factory reset.

And various combinations of the above.

The offline update section, no matter how I bring it up, is an unchoosable option.

And the system goes through the same 2 screens no mater what I do or in what combination.

It's a really expensive, high tech, just over 3 months old, door stop.

When registering for a repair online on

Device Management, it will also show if the console is within warranty or not, when within
warranty the fulfillment/replacement will usually be free of charge.
