Failed attempts to pay subscription.

I have just spent almost an hour with Microsoft support chat trying to find out why my attempts to renew my subscriptions are failing. Apparently they don't know and gave me a link to this site. Something about getting the "Higher Ups ", his words not mine,
to sort out the problem. Right I shall start from the beginning.

I have subscribed to Microsoft Solitaire Collection for several years now and when the latest reminder came up I attempted to renew my subscription for another year. I tried quite a few times and each time it came up "Payment not processed try again later.
I pay with Paypal and have never had any problems in the past In fact in September I renewed my sub. to Microsoft Jigsaw Collection in one attempt. The person on the Support chat suggested that it was because I was in Australia and Microsoft is in the U.S.
but I fail to see the logic in that. I purchase items and make donations using Paypal all over the world with no issues.

Has something changed with the Microsoft Accounts systems? or Paypal? or my being an Australian.

Any and all assistance will be gratefully accepted.

DRM should be up to the publishers anyway...

If this fails, and it could very well fail, then EA goes back to the way things are now and no one will forget the fuck up that was their attempt at a subscription service.

"To many failed attempts"

When I tried to purchase a membership and "failed to many times" my xbox said to wait a bit and try again. So I left it for hours and it still says the same thing. Why?

As i said I spent almost an hour with the official support page (the same one you have supplied the link to) and in the end was advised to come on here as they couldn't solve the problem. The idea seemed to be that the "Higher Ups" might notice and come
to my assistance. But all that has happened s far is that you are referring to the site that referred me to this forum. Not very helpful.

Let me help you with your concern today. Please note that this is a public forum, I will be responding to you in short period of time and I apologize for a delay in response. As I am merely a user trying to provide insight and information that may be helpful.

Is this the first charge attempt? After a charge on your account has failed for a pre-order, there will be another attempt at a charge a few days later. If that second attempt fails to successfully charge, your pre-order will be canceled.

Try to check if you will be able to change your payment method:

>Sign in to your account and go to your order history.

>Find the pre-ordered game and select Change how you pay.

>On the Pick another way to pay screen, you can either choose a different payment method, or add a new one.

For such issues, it would be best to get in touch with our live support to figure out what went wrong.

They will be able to assist you!

You can request a call back or live chat on the Xbox support website.

If you are facing any issues with that, please go through Microsoft support.

Once you get to the virtual agent just say “Talk to an agent” and select Xbox as the product, and your issue from the list. Select the option “Call me back” or “Live chat”, which shows the estimated wait time/queue.

If you don't see the options to request a call back or chat with support, change your category/topic until you do. If it does not work, please select billing & Subscriptions and "I don't recognize a charge".
