    Cannot connect with friends

    My son plays Fortnite and for the last two days, following an update of Fortnite, every time he tries to connect/join parties with his friends, it says 'you are unable to join cross platform party'. Epic games have suggested it is an Xbox live issue! Can
    anyone help? I have a very unhappy boy!

    What exactly is the error you get on the party tab when you fail to join.

    FIX NEEDED. Game chat is not working in fortnite. xbox part chat works fine

    Join an Xbox party chat, go to options and switch to game chat. You can then leave the Xbox party and the fortnite party chat should work again

    If its fortnite the game is bugged i usally turn off all the audio settings then turn it back on restart fortnite and join a xbox party then switch to game chat it works sometimes

    One thing, this message appears when you try to join the console party, right?

    Have you tried starting Fortnite normally, finding your friend in the Fornite friends list and joining the game, and talking for the game instead of the console Party?
