Discus and support Factory Settings in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; when starting my Xbox one up, it goes to the green loading screen, then it goes black and won't do anything.     Factory Settings


    when starting my Xbox one up, it goes to the green loading screen, then it goes black and won't do anything. Spoke to 2 of the costumer support twice and came to a decision that we would have to restore factory settings. So I done every step given
    to me online and it still ain't working after trying over 10 times now!! Can you help.

    Formatting does not restore the parental control for me. How can I do this?

    I've just sold my xbox 360 250gb on ebay and struggling to restore to the factory settings, any ideas how this can be done?

    [/quote]I think the OP is implying that an account was left on the console that was locked + had parental controls enabled so unless they got a lucky guess with the passcode, they would have to reformat it. I don't believe you can just delete the account
    off the HDD because of parental controls but I could be wrong there.

    How do I factory reset the console? I have an error code E 82 and i reset it like the old xbox 360's and it worked for about 5 minutes until I turned the console off by unplugging the power cord. then I went to power on again, it was back to the old error
    code E 82 again. :(

    I bought a bigger hard drive and a data transfer cable from amazon and now it has wiped my existing hard drive but now my xbox doesnt recognise either hard drive ...is there a way to factory reset the machine without the hard drive being recognised ?

    I'm not sure myself, so I'm sorry if I'm mistaken.

    But, even if an account has a passcode, it can still be deleted from the console by another account. You just can't sign into the profile which has the code.
