Factory Resetting XBOX 360 E

I bought a used XBOX 360 E from a pawn shop. There is a four digit code and a secret question that I don't know the answer to. When I try to speak to someone at XBOX's 800 number I cannot get past the automated system to speak to someone. Can someone
tell me how to factory reset this console?

Rule out the connections first, try a different lead

different tv

different power socket

remove any third party devices connected

reboot the x1

Maybe a factory reset ?? if all fails

Factory Resetting Xbox 360 Slim 250GB

For some reason, the PC just stays there even though it is in no way connected to the Xbox. There's not really a way to remove it without totally resetting to the Kernal. Its just not worth it, you're probably just going to have to live with it.

Hello,

The initial configuration puts your console settings back to 0, as if it were coming out of the factory, so. To format your hard drive, you need to go to Settings - System Settings - Storage - Y button (Device Options) when hard drive is highlighted. A list
will appear, you will just have to choose "Format".

How do I factory reset the console? I have an error code E 82 and i reset it like the old xbox 360's and it worked for about 5 minutes until I turned the console off by unplugging the power cord. then I went to power on again, it was back to the old error
code E 82 again.

even though this is the parental passcode reset it does what you are wanting to do.
