Factory resetting to get back my games?

I just got a new XBOX 360e. First ever gaming console. When I turned on the console for the first time, there was an initial set up process. The process also included an XBOX update. Once things were done, I went into the hard drive and found 7 games
(Hexic HD, Hydro Thunder Hurricane, N+, Peggle, Risk Factions, and Trials HD). Being the *** and wanting to play with all the features, I accidentally removed all these games. I thought that if I did a factory reset, those games would be back. I checked
many sites, and the only way they showed to do a factory reset was to format the Hard Drive and do an Initial set up again. I did that but I did not get the part where there was an XBOX Update. I'm assuming that the XBOX update part was how those games got
there to begin with.

Can someone point me in the right direction to really do a proper factory reset as though I was turning on the machine again for the first time? Maybe then I'll get those games back.

now... im resetting my console back to factory. To see if that fixes it.

Thanks! Resetting to factory settings actually worked. Now I can finally get back to earning achievements.

 

I believe that you are out of luck. Those games were probably pre-installed to the hard drive. Deleting them means that they are now gone. In case I am wrong, go to the dashboard and go to Settings. From there go to Account and then Download history.
If they were tied to your account they would show up there and you would be able to download them again right from there. If they are not there they that's it. They are gone.

 

I never thought of that. So you are saying that Microsoft probably shipped my XBOX console with those games already on the HD? Then I believe I am out of luck. And there's no such as a a true factory reset? Most of the links I've seen all indicate to
me that it's more of a Hard Drive reset.

BTW: I don't have an XBOX Live account yet set up on my console. Still trying to get used to the thing.

The console was already shipped with those games on the HDD.

There is one thing you can try, which is to contact Xbox Support to see if they can do anything. If they can't then like mentioned you are out of luck...

Regarding the Xbox Live account, since you have signed in on xbox.com you do have a Xbox Live account names SpacialBirch8 connected to the email address you used to sign in.

If you want to use that email address for your xbox live account then you will be able to download that profile to the xbox console via the steps here:

support.xbox.com/.../download-your-xbox-live-profile-to-another-360-console

Also be aware that there can only be one Xbox Live Account connected to an email address. Save games etc are per profile/xbox live account and multiple profiles and xbox live accounts can not be merged into one.
