The initial configuration puts your console settings back to 0, as if it were coming out of the factory, so. To format your hard drive, you need to go to Settings - System Settings - Storage - Y button (Device Options) when hard drive is highlighted. A list
will appear, you will just have to choose "Format".

How do I factory reset the console? I have an error code E 82 and i reset it like the old xbox 360's and it worked for about 5 minutes until I turned the console off by unplugging the power cord. then I went to power on again, it was back to the old error
code E 82 again.

even though this is the parental passcode reset it does what you are wanting to do.
