Factory reset while saving apps and games

Yesterday I was having connectivity issues with my Xbox, it was not connecting with the internet, through various attempts. I was online with a technician for about an hour, who was very helpful in finally obtaining the connection.

one of the steps that we did, was a factory reset, while saving apps/games option was chosen.

However, today when I open the App that I use most often on Xbox, that contained 100's of "video add-ons", it tells me that my library is empty?

What happened? I was told that my apps and games would be safe from the rest? Are they stored somewhere else, cannot find them anywhere in my account? It took me days to get all of those addons, do I have to do this all over again?

App is Kodi . I took a screenshot prior to clicking restore just to make sure, it was checked off. App itself is still there , but none of my files or addons, they are all gone

Maybe that option really wasn't checked after all? Or else an error occurred somewhere. Cause I know when I did it all my stuff was there afterwards.

Otherwise, what app are you using? Maybe the app itself didn't transfer over any of the data

All data is saved on cloud. Do not worry.

Hello, I've read your post, and I believe I understand your position. The Xbox Ambassadors are here to help.

You are safe to proceed with a factory reset, all of his achievements, gameplay, and anything else associated with his account will be saved. When your console is back up to operational standard, in the game section, if you RB click over to ready to install
section, here you will see your games. Also, feel free to search any game that you own in the Microsoft store. If you indeed own it, it will show up as owned ready to install.

Saves are stored on the Cloud, the game data is erased when performing a factory reset. If you use that account on any Xbox, the saves are automatically downloaded from the cloud.
