You can try the following steps:

• Remove your profile from the console
• Power off the console and unplug it from the wall for at least 2 minutes
• Power it back on and re-add your profile
• Now try running a game, or if the console says it needs an update, do the update.

I reset it but it says checking for updates but it has an error the error code is 0x8B0500B6

I've executed the soft reset and at the system update, an update problem occured:

0x8B0500B6

0x00000000

0x00000201

There is also no information in detail behind those error codes...

Ever had such an issue?

Alright, so as I was going through the initial set up after the reset, my xbox began to update itself and the error code

0x8B0500B6 0x00000000 0x00000201 came up. Saying that there was an update error. I checked my connection and the same problem as before appeared.
