    Factory reset didn't fix the problem, it made it worse.


    My Xbox recently had a corrupt update. I went online and asked a tech support agent how to fix it and he said to do a factory reset but keep all my games and apps. I did that but now I can't even sign in. I'm stuck at a screen that says there was as a problem
    with the update and I need to seek help. It gave me my console ID and Error code. I already tried searching the error code but the search says it doesn't exist. I already tried the try again button, disconnecting and reconnecting to the internet, and turning off
    and on my Xbox nothing seems to work.

    Yeah, same here. Hard reset didn't fix anything and uninstalling the application only made the problem worse, because now it seems to be unavailable for download.

    I just posted this in the preview program forums. Lets hope they have a fix for this. And don't factory reset your xbox. I tried that and it didn't work. Now I'm stuck at the system update screen and I'm forced to try to download it. If anything, it made
    it worse.

    Yeah, same here. Hard reset didn't fix anything and uninstalling the application only made the problem worse, because now it seems to be unavailable for download.

    The only thing I can suggest is trying to do a factory reset with a USB flash drive and hope that fixes the problem.

    If it's freezing that badly, it's hard to say if a factory reset will fix the problem, but it doesn't sound like it could make things much worse. I'd try it if it were me.

    Error code 0x8007013d when launching Destiny 2. There's no update showing being done or option to not accept the update.

    We already did the factory reset. It didn't fix anything. In fact, it got worse. Games that were already installed and working, won't even install. Games: MK 11 from disc, Battletoads & Tekken 7 from the store. Tried YouTube and the same thing. All these were installed and working before the factory reset.
