Factory reset: cant add profile

Turned xbox on. I was signed in, connected to internet but couldnt join party or load into game. This has been about 10 hours now . I have went through every single step. "Im not going to list them because i mean, every.. single.. step.." to fix this. So i did a factory reset and naturally chose to keep games and add ons. Herein lies the problem. Once it brings you to the "add new" option to create a new or add existing profile. It tells me to try again later or that I have to be connected to the internet. I am, connected to the internet and all setting tests are "its all good." Why wont it let me add new? Please for the love of everything. How do I fix this? I don't want to buy a new xbox this one is fairly new.

Issue solved.. I added the new, "In this case, pre existing account," from another device. Finally after literally trying everything. I have it back to normal.... so annoying.

I tried this and a factory reset and i cant even add a new account and havent been able to do anything

What your going to want to do is remove and re add your profile to the xbox and here are some instructions to help you. Be sure you have your log in information
before you attempt this.
Add remove gamertag from account

You can also perform a soft factory reset

A couple of things you could try, is firstly by deleting your profile from your xbox console, and the re-adding it: Add and remove
profile

If that doesn't work then it might be worth giving you xbox a factory reset, but without deleting the games:

When you do the factory reset, its important to choose the option 'Reset and keep my games & apps.' so that way you won't lose any of your games or apps

FYI this is the issue were the connection to the internet is 100% on your console but live cannot connect no matter what.

And just to add I have tried every trouble shoot there is bar factory reset/removing profile. That includes unplugging power, resetting router/console, clearing MAC address, setting static IP... the list goes on. I have read that other people have reset
consoles to factory default and removed profiles but then cant get anything back because the live connection is still not working - effectively bricking the Xbox.

Nothing has worked for me except the workaround posted above.
