    Factory Reset and Keeping Xbox Live Gold


    I am considering selling my Xbox 360 and games but I currently have Xbox Live Gold until either January or February 2015. I was inquiring if I sell my system and factory reset it before shipping will the new owner be able to use the remainder of the Xbox
    Live Gold? If not does the Gold account stick with my user profile or does it just become a loss of money at that point? If it does stick with my profile will it transfer over if I were to purchase a Xbox One so I would have a Gold account until the new
    year already set up or would I have to purchase another?

    Xbox Gold is attached to your account, not the console. As long as you have your account information and recovered on your new Xbox, you will still have Xbox Live Gold regardless of the console

    Xbox Gold is attached to your account, not the console. As long as you have your account information and recovered on your new Xbox, you will still have Xbox Live Gold regardless of the console

    Have you tried with a network cable, not through wireless? And do the advice other colleagues have provided. Check your Live Gold subscription and try the power cycle or factory reset. Don't be afraid. I have done a factory reset million times. But before
    anything else, try removing and adding again your account.
    Factory reset     and don't forget to check keep my games and apps.

    Sorry for the issue with the Xbox live service. We recommend trying a
    soft factory reset    . This will restore console to factory default. When you do it select keep games and apps.
