Employing developers that can't hold a deadline, its not an over whelming CV for lionhead employees IMO.

^With the offers they are being given it seems a non issue.

I'm betting there pulling the plug on studios because there simply not viable given the x1's install base and track record with exclusives (cant really call them that anymore) sales, the fact there pushing exclusives over to pc and by doing so damage there
own hardware sales just reinforces the notion.

Bad example it sold better than sunset overdrive and rottr.

Ms have announced 3 studios are closing but 8 have disappeared from their list since last week.

This is sad news indeed! Fable was an still is a nice game. I guess one can play the beta still, since it was available this weekend. No achievements, unless they kill the access to the game.

I was wondering why there was patch after patch and the game wouldn't come out for such a long time.

@Zero Divided. Not yet, this explains why though. "Microsoft has not yet outright confirmed that Lionhead will close and is instead saying it is "in discussions" with the employees. This is likely because UK law requires employers to create a consultancy
period of at least 30 days. During this, measures to avoid redundancies are to be explored. The period also gives those affected some time to search for new jobs"

Maybe there is hope! Lionhead Studios is also a film studio, responsible for action movies with Jason Statham who is well known.

@Goatsnatcher, i know they said that when this was announced, just seems kind of strange that Sony would be doing a fair when MS hasn't even confirmed it yet. but i guess in hindsight it does make sense that with the cancellation of Fable Legends that there
would be some that are looking to jump ship.

@daft to be fair its not only sony offering, I think its because ms didn't tell them they were out of a job till they were,they had no idea,shady at best.

Just read that Sony is holding a job fair for lionhead tomorrow, people from all of scee studios will be there recruiting so hopefully they can land somewhere quickly.

I got rid of my original xbox and games, kinda regret it.

As for Fable I loved the first 3 games but then they moved away from that formula and I lost interest in this franchise. Always a shame when a studio close down and people lose their jobs though.

It's not sad at all. If I had the room I'd still have a lot of my old game's and consoles.
