Fable Legends is no longer being developed...

I didn't play Fable 3, but from what I've heard from other who absolutely loved Fables 1 and 2, their comments ended up being the same thing.

Long story short, they (those players who absolutely loved Fables 1 and 2) told me that Fable 3 was disappointing.

I am one of those that was in the closed Beta (and Open Beta) but never once actually played it. I tried when I first DL'd it but found out it was only during scheduled events of the Closed Beta.

I was going to go back and try it again in Open Beta but just never got around to it. Oh well, so much for that.Overall from what I did see of it I wasn't really impressed enough to take the the time of day to play it.

As for Fable I, II and III, I loved Fable, thought Fable II was a huge step backwards and found playing it to be a chore and Fable III was okay in some areas but sucked in others (mostly indifferent).

Fable could have been a truly awesome IP but that chance was about 10 years ago...

 

Why is the beta still running until april the 13th, seems a little odd to me.

 

In all honesty I enjoyed all 3 fables, they were pretty unique compared to other games imo. I was never impressed with legends, I was actually annoyed they never stuck with their usual formula.... Ah well, guess it's done with now.

 

That's the thing about Fable, from the original it was a very original and exclusive game for the XB community and luckily here in Aus we got the black edition which I still own. How many played the remake on the 360? And how many would %100 fable 2 on Xb1
bc? Maybe legends was a bad idea from the start.

 

I still have all the fables back to the original. Infact, I think fable and Morrowind are the only two original Xbox games I still have.

It is annoying, if they had focused on fable 4 instead of legends, maybe things would be different right now.

 

Played the original and thought it was good, but short; they should've waited and released WITH the Lost Chapters. Played the remake last year. Still a darn fine game.

Deedles, I think only the lost chapters, also known as the black edition (Black Spine) was released here in Aus. I've still got most of my xbox originals, no that's not sad

 

It's not sad at all. If I had the room I'd still have a lot of my old game's and consoles.

 

I got rid of my original xbox and games, kinda regret it.

As for Fable I loved the first 3 games but then they moved away from that formula and I lost interest in this franchise. Always a shame when a studio close down and people lose their jobs though.

 

Just read that Sony is holding a job fair for lionhead tomorrow, people from all of scee studios will be there recruiting so hopefully they can land somewhere quickly.

Not being funny but this is just a publicity stunt by Sony.

Brilliant if these people do get another job but loads of other studio's have been closed down recently so why haven't Sony been holding job fairs for them?

 

Obviously publicity stunt, if it lands them guys a new job though it's a good thing imo.

It sucks, I really did want Fable 4.

 

@daft to be fair its not only sony offering, I think its because ms didn't tell them they were out of a job till they were,they had no idea,shady at best.
