Fable Legends, Fable Fans

So obviously Fable is changing its mechanics....again. I was just curious on other Fable fans' intake on the whole party, 4 player no evil/good decision making not happening in a campaign now? I personally think its a step in the wrong direction. Can't wait
to hear from you guys

Looks like this isn't coming out this year and instead will go into Open Beta in Spring 2016.

Sounds like they will add 100,000 people into the current Closed Beta (signup in FableLegends.com).

 

Personally haven't played a Fable game since the original Xbox... Is it even that good now? I remember having lots of fun with the original.

 

I did enjoy all of them, 3 being my least favourite, but I'm not really keen on Fable Legends as I'd much prefer just normal Fable game with fresh ideas added.

 

I enjoyed them as well though I agree by the time three got around the series had lost a lot of its zest. I enjoyed my single player campaign through each of them but this new direction has me totally uninterested in the style they chose to go in. We got
the remake in the clunky 360 version, at least my version was laggy and crashed all the time. I loved the dry english humor, enchanting world, and ultimate decisions of good and evil having an outcome later on. Im sad for the series future :/

 

Fable 1 - very good

Fable 2 - Mostly forgettable

Fable 3 - If you could remove the ability to beat townsfolk into submission, this game could be a great starter rpg for young children.

My hopes for Fable 4 would be raising the difficulty level, stop making the villain so dull and non-threatening, and to please make it a darker game. It's gotten so cutesy that I'm almost embarrassed to play it. I'm half expecting Spyro the dragon to pop
out of the sky with easter eggs.

[/quote]I really liked the second Fable game. It was quite fun to play. Didn't play the first one tho. However Fable 3 was quite forgettable. It go sooooo boring. I'm afraid the newest Fable when it comes out, is going to be lack luster. Like you
said, they need to quit making it cutesy. But I guess they want little kids to play it so they don't want to make it too dark, probably.

After some thought I remember liking Fable 2 a lot. It's been so many years since I played it, I mostly forgot about it.

 

Fable Anniversary: May have felt amazing back on the original Xbox, but this just felt very old to play with really corny (not funny or tongue in cheek) humour. Plus the combat is rotten..

Fable II: Really enjoyed this. Completed it many times over.

Fable III: Very boring. Unlikable protagonist. Felt like they built the game around Stephen Fry more than the gamer. Crap options and gameplay features.

Fable: The Journey. Bought a Kinect 2nd hand (luckily) only to find out you need a football pitched sized living room and with no neighbours within a mile radius to hear you shouting commands. Heard it was average at best.

Fable Legends: I have no interest in this whatsoever and really hope Peter Oxocubes gets a punch in the head for being full o' turd. Seriously. The more I hear this bloke talk, the more I want cars to hit him. Did you ever see the Fable 2 combat development
demonstration video? How the hell can this conker be allowed near games?

 

I am a big fan of the Fable Series. Fable is one of my favorite RPG franchises ever. I have beat each Fable several times over. Fable 1 was amazing. Fable 2... my favorite. Fable 3 was cool, being the prince and part of an underground resistance was
fantastic. Though in Fable 3, as someone else had said the mechanics and interactions with NPC's was a bit brutal. But overall it was still solid. Fable The Journey was alright. Gabriel wasn't really likable, Theresa was the only thing really keeping me
pushing through the game. And the ending about crushed me.

Now to Fable Legends. *Sigh* I'm am disappointed in the direction they are taking the game. It will purchase the game Day One and Its will support one of my favorite RPG franchises. It does sound interesting, and very few world's pull me in like Albion.


With that said, I'm want Fable 4. Not Fable Legends. If am a bit bummed that Lionhead Studio's has nothing on the table at the moment for Fable 4.

And if you think about it. (This is crazy) It is May of 2015. Fable 3 released in October of 2010. We may not see Fable 4 until 2018. Ugh

 

I personally love the Fable series. since the first Fable came out i was drawn to every aspect of the game. I am, like alot of people, dissapointed in the fact that Fable Legends wont have the same mechanics that made the first 3 games as great as they were.
Hopefully they move forward with Fable 4

 

I was super excited about the setting and time period when they announced it would be in the OLD Albion. I couldnt wait to set foot with character across the lands impacting it with my own decisions. Now I feel like my characters which seem to be premade
in a small Multiplayer 'shooter' like map area of Albion instead of exploring different areas of the old land when heroes first appeared. I hope to see Fable 4 as well :/

 

I think Fable games after Fable that don't have numbers/numerals in the titles... aren't indicative of the direction of the series. It's just another game in the same universe.

I'd expect Fable IV to be more of what people liked in Fable I, II, and III... the stuff that IMO was getting gradually worse and stale, with added bad ideas each time - and I'd suggest giving Fable Legends a chance from a standalone perspective, rather
than as something that's tainting a series you love/like. =)

Just enjoy it as a satellite game. Something on the periphery keeping the series fresh. Something maintaining a holding pattern before development announcements on Fable IV. Give it a whirl when it launches... it looks good to me.

 

Love Fable.....Played the first one on the original xbox, rushed out to get the remastered version (which my 7 year old is currently working his way threw), Fable 2 i really enjoyed, fable 3 was okay.....im in the beta for legends and i hate it, i wont be
getting it, not my style of play at all, i want a wonder off and do what you want game not kill this kill that constantly, nor do i want to play with others in a game!

very very disappointed with the whole situation
