Fable Legends CO-OP

Windows 10 gives PC gamers and Xbox One gamers the ability to coop play together. Nice stuff. What do you think?

And which games would you like to see this feature come to?

Local Co Op?

Sounds to me like no local co op which means no deal for me. Fable has had local co op since Fable 2 and the premise of Legends seems like such a great idea to have that local co op.

Fable 3 was a rather expensive expansion for fable 2, they just got lazy on the name.

So this a weird progression for a series:
Fable 1: No co-op
Fable 2: Bad co-op
Fable "3": Ok co-op
Fable Legends: Co-op Only

My how things escalated.

 

They were able to do this on Xbox 360 and any version of Windows using Games for Windows Live.

The reason for PC players not being grouped with Console is because its hard for the developer to keep both versions updated. PC can be updated instantly, but console has to go through Microsoft QA.

I really do not trust Microsoft to allow this openly. I bought a Windows Mobile phone back when I got Xbox 360 because they originally said Xbox Live would work on it. Then they moved to Windows Phone, now they are moving to Windows 10, and still cross-buy/cross-play
is only on very limited games.

Microsoft had a chance to monopolise the gaming market and they blew it. This generation was the first time I bought a Sony console first, having been a huge fan of Xbox and then Xbox 360. I plan to get Xbox One eventually but I no longer trust them to
do what they promise, not that Sony are much different.

 

I was waiting for cross-play for years and I am happy with this news.

The "Mouse + keyboard is better than controller" is old. On youtube you can see many PC players with controller who are better than the one with keyboard.

The game I would like to see in the futur is Medal of Honor, but I doubt EA will make a new one. Whatever, can't wait to see more cross-platforms games

 

It is true that the tech has been there, but it seems the focus is finally getting there, which is nice i will admit.

Seemed like from the live stream they just had that it is only getting more and more intertwined. Which is really nice. I will say that i would not like to be playing multiplayer fps with people on mouse/keyboard, but there are a lot of games where it is
perfectly viable. So i can't wait to see what more they have in store for us gamers at GDC.
