Fable II GOTY Edition - Backwards Compatibility Issue

Hello,

On xbox 360 I went to copy my saved game data (Fable II Game of the Year Edition) to the cloud, but prompted that I had to move (rather than Copy), which I did. Then on XBOX one console, tried to access the saved game, but XBOX one advised saved game was
incompatible due to mismatched DLC and that I needed to download Knothole Island and See the Future (both Free with the GOTY edition). I did this. Then XBOX one changed the warning to simply a generic difference / incompatibility with the saved cloud version
of Fable II DLC and the installed version. I tried several uninstall and re-installs in different sequence etc. with same result. i.e. unable to access the old Xbox 360 save via xbox one game. Worse is that as I was prompted to move the save (rather than
copy which I tried to do, but was unallowed) on the xbox 360, I am also now unable to access the original saved game on the xbox 360.

Any suggestions or how this can be progressed or do I just need to write off those old saves altogether now?

Fable 2 classics version

I will test this and see if I get the same issue I have two versions of Fable II.

Fable II and Fable II GotY edition.

So I will check this tonight and see what I have.

Will be back for update.

 

Free dlc not accessible without purchase

Ok, that confirms the issue with the DLC.

I don't know for sure, but maybe the standard game has backwards compatibility and the GOTY edition don't.

Hi Mister Cizl, thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately doesn't help. Those posts seem to be more with issues saving to or accessing from the cloud. My Game saved to the cloud fine and is accessible from the cloud okay on my XB1 fine. In fact I had 2x
save game profiles /heroes - 1 with 100+ hrs, the other with out 2 hrs. The second save with little to no progress I can reload and use, but the first save, which I want to use, has the above mentioned incompatibility.

Hi Mister Cizl, I tried creating the 'Survey' you suggested and I think it submitted okay, however I am not sure where this has gone / how to see it / how to see any responses to it? Can you confirm how to view these? Thanks.

 

Hey Souva031! We checked the results and were not able to see your submission. Could you try filling out the survey again? Post back and let me know when you do and I will confirm it has been received.

 

I just Submitted the Survey 2 more times. Each time, it comes up with the message;

"What is the console's OS version?

To find this, start at the Home Screen and push the thumbstick to the left to open the guide. Go to Settings > All Settings > System > Console info & Updates."

Each of the 3 times I have submitted the survey I have submitted the survey I have entered the OS Version at question 3. The survey appears to be broken as well?
