Fable Anniversary vs Fable Trilogy Pricing!!

Have to say I was so looking forward to buying this game!! Played the original till the CD was unreadable!!

I went on today to download the game and was checking the prices out!! WTF!!

€39.99 for Anniversary and €69.99 for the Trilogy!!

Considering Fable 3 was free on games for gold a few months back, where do they come up with their prices??!!

40 quid for a re-polished game seems a bit steep to me!!

Or 70 quid for 2 games, (because I already got part 3 for free already), seems very steep, considering part 2 is 6 years old!!!

I don't know, is it just me being a mean ba$%&rd or does anyone else find this nothing more than money grabbing on behalf of MS and Lionhead??!!

Any feedback or comments welcome!!

Fable Trilogy: Having trouble getting content in my location.

We have the same problem in Romania. I can only download Fable Anniversary and Fable 3. NOT THE FABLE 2. Fable Trilogy is region locked, and they are not telling you this before you buy it. Thanks a lot.

(btw i can download Fable 2 individually ..so Fable 2 is not locked ..but Fable trilogy is)

According to the support site the Fable Trilogy supports Portuguese language as well

I don't agree. Almost every one of these HD remakes comes out for $40 here in the States (the Trilogy is $60). I already own Fable 2 & 3, so obviously the Trilogy isn't necessary. I think it's a great way for people who don't have any of the games to
pick them all up at a discounted rate. Fable 3 being offered for free with a Gold membership a few months back is a moot point in your argument. Not every one picked the game up at that time, and the Trilogy is available for Silver members as well as Gold.

ok I see where your coming from, Egg, but fable 2 & 3 can be bought pre owned from any game store for less than a score (20 euro) each here in Ireland. part 2 is 6 years old, part 3 is what, nearly 4 years old at this stage!! my point is, MS being money
hungry ***!! fable trilogy aside, there's games on the marketplace that are 5 years old and are still 40 euro to buy here in Ireland. I would have no problem downloading many of these titles, if they were in-line with store prices or reduced enough to match
how long they have been released. Just one other point, every game, except games for gold games, are available to silver members, so their still hitting that demographic of people, regardless of membership.

I have to agree with Eggnogga. For $60 you get the trilogy, which include three games (and I would hope the DLC but I can't tell for sure). If you bought them all separately, you would pay $15-$20 for fable 2 and 3, depending on the method of purchase
and version for a new game. Essentially you save $20 getting the trilogy, which is the average discount I think. I would take that offer if, like you, I didn't already play 2 and 3.

Whatever about the price … but I got the Trilogy and there is no way to download Fable II. And let's don't talk about how buggy Fable Anniversary is … Basically it crashes every 30 minutes or so

.........not everyone has gold and yes Fable Anniversary is simply a "repolished" oh wait.....no they had to basically rewrite the code so it worked for the 360. The Xbox version works using emulation......n'm just let me try to forget you posted.
