fable 3 problems

so i have been playing fable 3 for a good while now on my xbox one, and i had a dlc free yule hat. and i had an update today, and now all of a sudden the yule hat isnt showing up under manage game and it wont let me play anymore because my save files have
this hat in them and it is apparently required to play as the message says.... whats going on here?

I have just tried to play fable 3. I have had the disc for a while now (months) and seems to be in a descent codition. Each time I try to play the game it tells me that there is an update for it, but at the same time I am disconnected from xbox live. If
I accept the update it switches to the update bar, but it then closes and I get a message telling me that I need to be connected to xbox live and tells me to go on
www.xbox.com/support and gives me a code. If I decline the update I am brought to the main menu of the game, but when I press start it says that my saved data was created on a MORE up to date version
of the game. If anyone could help I would be very grateful.

 

Hello! Have you tried going to the Xbox Store to see if you can re download the Free Yule Hat?

Alternatively if you go to sign in at Xbox.com and go to 'Microsoft Account' and then click 'See all' on Recent purchases, then alter the search from 'Past 3 months' to 'All available' then find the Hat and click it to re download

Same problem here - IIx DEX xII's solution doesn't work as the dlc pack for the Yule hat is not listed either in the "Manage Game" content of the XBOX One or the available purchases of the Microsoft account.

Note that differently to the first poster, we never downloaded this to our XBOX One, only to our original 360 install of the game (a console that's long-since gone)!

 

Been onto support - their solution - reinstall the game (and you "won't lose your game progress"!). Doing that now - will let you know if it works!

 

Confirmed - uninstall and reinstall the game worked perfectly!

I uninstall and reinstalled and that did not work. I don't understand how it worked for one and not everyone else. Sucks I really want to play my traitor's keep quest game. The recent update really messed everything up.

The teams believe this issue to be resolved now. What you'll need to do is obtain these two pieces of DLC.

Fable III Dog Breed Set and

Fable III Traitor's Keep Quest Pack. Both of which are free DLC's the Yule Hat and Free Soldier Outfit pack's are now apart of these DLC's and once you obtain them, you should be able to play your save files again without any issues.
