Fable 2 Platinum Hits Edittion

How come when I play my physical disc of Fable 2 (Platinum Hits Edittion) which has all the DLC on disc, on the Xbox one the DLC is missing/ not accessable?

Fable 2 Platinum Hits

I bought the fable 2 platinum hits the other day and it is supposed to come with the premium versions of the DLCs "see the future" and "Knothole Island" but when I go to download them it gives me the free version of the DLCs (free version only let's you
play with other players who own the premium version). I think the xbox one is reading the game as just the standard version of fable 2 instead of the Platinum Hits version

 

This has been a known problem for quite some time. For some reason, Fable II Platinum Hits refuses to load the DLC.

Unfortunately, we can only wait until Microsoft provides some sort of update.

For now, I would just play it on an Xbox 360 console if you want to access the DLC.

 

I think I have figured out what the problem is with why the game doesn't play the DLC. I've been tweeting Xbox Support and they asked me to do some trouble shooting trying to figure out what the problem is and while doing this I noticed something, the file
that the backwards compatability program downloads when you insert a physical disc is for the basic game. I guess when they programed the file they failed to include support for Game Of The Year and Platinum Hits verisons. I asked Xbox Supports twitter if
this was the case and they have not responded as yet and that was about 2 hours ago.

survey on backward compatible games so we can collect as much data as possible. That data gets passed directly to the team responsible for backward compatible games.

 

This is not right. Its be a few weeks and acording to Internet Expert this issues has been going on longer then this. Just fix the issue already. Its pretty simple.

 

I downloaded the free versions for now but not being able to use all the content on my platinum hits ed. is frustrating. I hope they fix this issue soon because I do not want to pay for this content again.

The Fable 2 Platinum Hits DLC not unlocking for your account seems to have been
FIXED today. I went to the Xbox Store page for Fable 2 and was able to install the Fable 2 Knothole Island and See the Future premium editions free of charge. Hopefully it's not just a fluke for myself, and Microsoft actually fixed the problem after
no response since November of 2015. I also found the DLC available in the manage game section of Fable 2.

Thank you for FINALLY fixing the problem. However, the delay will not be forgotten.

 

Can confirm this seems fixed, I put my Fable 2 ( classics ) disc in my XB1 and clicked to install the game ( 8.1gb ), game started installing, checked queue in "My games and apps", saw that my XB1 auto pulled the dlc ( premium versions of Knot hole island
and see the future ) without requiring re-purchase

Today is fable 2 day for me

Can let us know which DLC packs specifically you're looking for? If you highlight the Fable II game tile, press the Menu button on your Xbox One controller, and select 'Manage game' are you able to see the DLC listed in the Fable II's 'Ready to install'
list?

Hey thanks for getting back to me so quick. Yes dlc in question is just called fable 2 bonus content it contains the hall of the dead dungeon and a few extra items. this is separate from the knothole and see the future dlc and if I'm correct came with the
game of the year edition of fable 2
