  1. F5 Audio crackling snapping electronic glitch

Myself along with several other friends have had this issue since we started playing the game. It seems after about 2 hours of gameplay it starts to have major audio issues ONLY with F5. It starts popping and crackling like wires are crossed. I have
tried it with and without surround sound, through my tv, it still does it. So usually I have to exit to the home, then exit game, restart game. Then it goes away for a couple hours and starts again. I even set my startup to "power save" or whatever its
called. Still didn't help. You can view my recent F5 videos to hear the noise. I forgot to mention this mainly happens when I am playing ONLINE.

    .

My next step will be to delete it and re-install the game. After that I have no idea.

    :)

Things I want in the next X1 update.

I would like to see 2 things, first the snap screen to have a couple of different screen sizes and 2 the option to mute game audio and just hear the snapped audo, vice versa or ability to adjust the audio volume on both individually

    example
I want to snap the hockey game while playing a game. The small snap screen is not useable, way to small. Then I want the ability to mute my game audio and just hear the snapped hockey audio. Or lower the game audio and have the snapped audio louder

    Audio crackling

Unfortunately, there is no definite answer as to what is causing it. You will have to work through some troubleshooting to find the cause. If possible, the easiest thing to do would be to try a different HDMI cable. At the very least, turn the console completely
off (Settings, Power, Turn Xbox off), then unplug the HDMI cable from the console and TV and firmly plug them back in to make sure it is fully seated.

If you're still having issues, you will have ruled out the HDMI cable, and will have to test the TV, and the console itself.

Hey. Have you been able to figure this problem out? I'm having the same issue right off the bat when I start the game. It progressively gets worse after a couple of races, to a point where I won't even play it because it's so annoying. I've even tried hard
resetting the xbox, which helps temporarily, but it eventually comes back.

  6. I re-installed F5 and nope still cant figure this issue out!! So dang frustrating. Starting to make me hate this game.

You don't have to restart the console. Just go to the x1 home page and "QUIT" out of F5. Once you quit you can restart the game and it will be fine again. Temporarily.

Seems to happen after about 45 minutes to an hour of online racing against the AI in private lobbies. I noticed that if the AI seems to be in the wrong class, shortly after that the audio bug will happen. SO frustrating.

I just bought xbox one with F5 included. I was so happy to play this game. But....After playing the game for few hours it started to make those crackling noises. It mekes me mad. I don't have other games to run but in movies everything is fine. Must be something
    in the game.

I hope Turn10 do something about it soon.

One thing you guys might consider is making sure that all other games/apps are closed before you start playing FM5. One thing I've noticed on the Xbox One is that, while it allows multiple apps/games to run at the same time, it's not very good at handling
    it.

With a game or app tile selected on the home screen press the menu button (the one with 3 lines) and select "Quit". This will shut down the game or app. I've had some problems in Forza before and if I pause, go back to home, and close out apps I missed (usually
You Tube) - the problems go away.

Give it a try!! Hope it helps!

Nah, i never had other apps running in background when this problem occured.

Yesterday I was racing on top gear track on its London Challange version. When cars started to hit all those trashcans, poles etc. sound just went mad. It skipped, crackled and even muted for a while. On second lap there was almost no obstacles on driving
    line - everything was ok.

I have this happen as well. Funny thing is that I've had this happen on Forza 3 and 4 for the 360, so it seems to almost be a Turn 10 exclusive issue.

  11. Yeah, I experienced this problem too. I actually disassembled my home theater, convinced there was a loose connection or something... But it appears to just be an audio bug within Forza 5 that they clearly have no intention of fixing. The only apparent solution,
albeit temporary, is to quit the game and every app that may be running, then restart the console.

I have experienced this too. However after buying the Nissan GTR I recently realized something new. It isnt just the sound. My acceleration actually stops completely. The boost gauges inside the cockpit drop to 0 for less than a second repeating with intervals
of less than 10seconds. I thought it was just sound until on fast tracks I realized my top speed was dropping due to interruptions in acceleration.

    Anyone else notice this?

My issue is fixed every time I close the game and restart it however it returns on average 5mins into a race. i.e. circuits with more than 3 laps are hopeless.

Never mind, I figured out my problem. Not quite the same. I had damage on and downshifting too soon damaged my engine. I didn't see any notifications until it was 'really' damaged.
