F1 ALL STARS stuck on autosave. XBOX 360E / 4gb

My 4 year old nephew powered off the console when the game was in progress. After that, all attempts to play the game hang at the AUTOSAVE screen with the spinning wheel.

I can eject the disk, and play other games, but each time I try to start F1 RACE STARS the autosave message comes back. (4 yr old's favorite game)

I waited 45 minutes, cleared the memory cache, deleted all signs of F1 from each of the 3 members of our household, and cleaned the disk - nothing has changed.

Any help?

Best 360 cart racer?

The only Karting games I can think of are Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing and F1 Race Stars. F1 Race Stars isn't released yet. Just a couple of days to go though I think.
