    Extremely strange problem with Xbox One media player


    Hello,

    I have no idea is this common problem, or just me, but: when i connect USB device to X1 and try view my photos (from digital camera) all photos (doesn`t matter - 16:9, 3:2) are cropped like 3:2 (black bars are visible both side ) besides: photos are
    blurry!!! When i view the same photos via DLNA, every photo is displayed properly (aspect ratio, 16:9 are full screen, photos are sharp like on my PC).

    Whats the problem?

    Media playback issues

    I've been using the media capabilities of the Xbox One extensively and I've found a couple serious issues with it. The first issue is regarding DVD playback. I have a large DVD collection that my kids like to watch, but when I play them on my Xbox One they
    are blurry. This affects every DVD I've tried to play.

    The second issue is that none of my 1080p videos play well in the Media Player. I have high bitrate rips of my movies and they all stutter when trying to play in the Media Player. The low bitrate videos I have play smoothly though. I find this very strange
    because the Xbox One has a h.264 hardware decoder in it.

    Xbox logo causing burn in

    Same problem here. The extreme contrast of the logo makes it very dangerous to use the Xbox One as a media hub device for plasma owners.

    Xbox One will be supporting DLNA on it's media player app with the upcoming October dashboard update, so this should be possible without problems.

    It's already possible to stream media towards the One with the windows media player, but with the next update the One will be able to browse for DLNA servers within the network it's connected to.

    It's not a console apparently

    The Xbox 360 is a horrible media player... they spent nearly the whole time talking about TV yet you still have to have a cable box and dvr. I don;'t see why this is really any different than any other media player out there.

    Yesterday was so strange the media is still trying to figure out how MS could be this stupid. Trainwreck.
