Extremely low download speeds, upload remains the same

For the past week my xbox one has been having issues with downloading games and updates. I have it wired to the modem so I don't exactly know why I'm getting this problem. Normally my download speeds are from around 70-80 mbps, but during the past week and
a half, I've been getting download speeds of 1-6mbps. I asked support and they literally did nothing but give me the steps I already tried out. Even the most weirdest thing being my upload speeds remain at 12 mbps every time and never drops. I just want my
old download speeds back..Can someone help me?

Verry slow Download Speed - Network Statistics

I'm experiencing the exact same problem with my 360. I can run speedtests on any other device on my network and consistently pull ~35mbsp download/~5mbps upload. When I use the "network statistics" tool on my 360, my download speed never exceeds 10Mbps
(the upload speed does not seem to be affected). The download speed remains low regardless of whether I connect my xbox via ethernet or wifi. I've spent way too much time trying to fix this with no luck.

Seriously,the speeds you are getting are extremely poor & will cause lag which isn't fair on the people you are playing against/with.

Upgrading you broadband is really the only option.

You may get slightly better speeds if nothing else is using your broadband at the same time as you are playing online but as I said,you are going to struggle with such low download/upload speeds.

 

I'm in the same boat. I have a 200Mbps x 20Mbps pipe and I'm only getting 20-30 but the upload remains the same. This same issue happened awhile back with one of the preview updates but it's doing it on both of my Xbox Ones. One with the preview and one
without.

 

Going to be a dumb question, but have you reset modem, router, etc? I have noticed I have to reset mine every 2 weeks or so lately. Especially if they are the default ones that the ISP provides

 

I did reset and did everything I could possibly do. Nothing fixes it.

 

It's not on your end. I've been dealing with this issue for weeks. I troubleshot it for 2 weeks to the point of even replacing my modem. MS support is zero help and one on the phone guaranteed me it wasn't on their end and then hung up on me. The problem
is on their end and there's nothing you can do. Many others are reporting the exact same thing. When I first encountered it everything I tried to download would get between 800kbps and 1mb/s. Speedtests show 60mb down. All other devices in the house work
perfectly fine. Now I'm able to get decent speeds most of the time but some things are the 1-2mb/s range some are between 10-20mb/s and some are my normal 40-50mb/s. At this point all we can do is continue to complain and hope MS gets to the bottom of it.
It's pretty sad honestly.
