  1. Extreme throttling on multiple Xbox Ones (4Mbps)

As of about 7pm PST all Xbox Ones in our home went from 100Mbps download speeds to +/- 4Mbps when testing speed or downloading games. I ran a speed test on the IE app on the Xbox and have 90+Mbps results; however, none of the Xbox Ones are obtaining that
speed using MS services. MS does not show any server issues, and I have gone as far as a full reset on one console, as well as port forwarding and multiple DNS changes (Google DNS, etc.). Based on the speedtest.net results on the console, I would say there
has to be a server issue involving core services. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

One using a VPN RATHER then your local isp IS NOT the best way to connect to the internet

    Unless you want major latency

    Thats by design

Using vpn servers causes lag and MAJOR LAG

The google dns servers are located in the US

IF you are in uk or any north american location the only reason why you woule be using it is NOT for speed

But for doing things you shouldnt be like accessing american content from non american regions

You can google what a vpn does and how it affects speed

You are basically going thru all different nodes to goto the us them to your us xbox servers then back and if you are talking about europe or asia you are talking about 10000 miles

Its always best to use your actual isp dns its local and they manage the connection

You use a vpn server like google dns you are talking about 10000s if not millions

Hard ewser your modem and router and xbox

Its ALWAYS best to direct connection

It should be you to your isp to xbox

    Using google dns

Its you your isp google dns

Google DNS is a Domain Name System resolver and is far from a VPN, additionally there is little to no latency whatsoever when using the Google DNS while in the U.S. and in some cases has shown to improve download speeds.

While problem shooting potential ISP resolving issues with Xbox server names, switching the DNS to Google 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 has been a common practice in these forums since at least 2016 by fellow Ambassadors.

Is the Logitech X52 H.O.T.A.S. THROTTLE AND STICK SIMULATION CONTROLLER compatible with the XB1 Adaptive controller?

I see the$39 Extreme 3D pro version is compatible but I need the use of the throttle for a RT analog stick.

Is this fast enough internet speed for xbox 360 gameing?

I see people commenting on things like this all the time; someone has like a 12mbps down speed, and then someone will say it's adequate for Xbox, and this makes me think my 4mbps connection will be extremely, but I have to say it isn't.

But, it isn't all about speed, its about the quality of connection aswell. I regularly get picked for host over my friend with high speed fibre optic.

What is max download speed on Xbox?

could also be that the throttling they had implemented last year due to covid and extremely high demand on all networks globally are still in effect in a lot of area's, i know the EU last year ordered all the ISP's in the EU to throttle certain things to keep the internet flowing normally for all.

i have 500Mbps connection and only get 120 to 180Mbps download speed on console and pc via the xbox network, all other connections seem to be ok i.e steam, epic etc where i get full speed downloading.

i know netflix throttled bandwidth too, not sure if they still are or not.
Could be throttling due to covid, but then my ISP hasn't throttled as steam downloads full speed. Which begs another question, why does Microsoft throttle the download speeds when Steam has around 30 million more monthly users than Xbox does? If anything I'd have thought MS would have had the technology to keep up with demand more than Steam could.
