Extracting my son's xbox acc. gamertag, gaming history and achievements from my email/profile

hi , Now that I feel my son is old enough to have his own email address and profile, how do I do this? I've been going round in circles for days following support instructions and unable to speak to a human. I imagine this is a common enough issue. thanks

hiya, does this mean that Id be losing all the thousands of historic emails I have in that account?

hhmm Does that mean that I need to delete my entire 17 years of emails from that email account before I hand it over to him? I have many subscriptions etc to it aswell.. Is this the only way... Hes gutted at the thought of losing all his achievements...
And I really cant seem to access a human at Xbox to sort this out...

Thank you for reaching out to the Forums with this question. Now there is no way that we can transfer the gamertag, Gamerscore, progress, etc. over to a new email address. You can always

Update The Primary Alias on the account which you would be creating a new email address, and when doing this it will delete the old email address from Microsoft completely and replace it with the new one.

This could possibly work if your email address happens to be something other than a Microsoft domain, (For example: gmail, yahoo etc.) as it will delete it through Microsoft but you can still access it through it's respective sites/apps.

There is no full way of moving just Xbox account data from a Microsoft account. However, you can change the email associated with the account, then use your old email to create a new Microsoft account. Do this by following the steps here:

This will essentially give your Microsoft account to your son and then create a new one for yourself. You can always then make your new account a parent account of your son's by setting up a Microsoft family at account.microsoft.com
