Extinction Esports Looking for a few casual AW Xbox 1 players.

There are tons of information out there about how ESports players got to and stay a pro. Again, less than .1% of gamers will ever be Pro and not every game has a large ESports scene.

Add me up. I too am looking for players to complete this.

Yeah, they said competitive settings a while ago. However, Vahn said on the IGN thing yesterday that only the care package is banned (and only in the 4v4 playlist). He said that the decision was made to attract players to eSports, which leaves me with a
few comments:



1) Why bother trying to attract people to something that isn't truly eSports? Even COD with true competitive settings can only be loosely considered an eSport.

2) Why, after the whole "eSports initiative", make a step backwards from the competitive playlist in Black Ops 1?

3) I thought that the purpose of the 6v6 playlist with normal rules was to grow the competitive community. Why even bother having both if neither are going to be truly competitive?

4) How does it attract new players exactly? The current list of eSports that most people would consider a success haven't done anything to open the game up for newcomers.



The best way to make eSports popular is to make it mean something to be good. No one cares if you're good at a game that is already pretty easy.

As someone who has worked as the Social Media Manager of a few esports organizations (previously Wind and Rain, Inception Esports, and R3PREZ3NT Esports) there are more opportunities in the esports industry than the average person realizes, but most esports
jobs aren't for players. There are lots of opportunities if you're interested in Marketing, Team Management, or Video Editing.

Jobs like this can be found on Hitmarker Jobs and Rekt Jobs. But you'll find that there are just as many volunteer positions for this as there are paid opportunities as many organizations are startups and there are lots of people out there just trying to gain
some experience.

That said, here are some tips I'd give an everyday player hoping to go pro.

- You need to pick one game and focus on it.

- Play the game like it's your full-time job, but also study it like it's your full-time job too.

- Record your game footage to analyze. Save, edit and share your best footage as often as you are able.

- Your footage will essentially be your portfolio.

- Consider what kind of organization is right for you.

- Some are looking for team players others are more like stream teams and are broadcaster oriented.

- Twitter is a great resource for finding opportunities search "esports looking for" or " [the title of the game you play] looking for" and start applying inquiring about opportunities, many of them.
