    External wireless keyboard functionality

I purchased a Logitech USB wireless keyboard, model K400, for $30.

With the unifying dongle plugged into the Xbox1 the keyboard works great everywhere you'd want to type instead of typing with the standard game controller.

This keyboard has a mouse-pad (touch-membrane and mouse buttons) similar to that found on most laptops, in place of where the numeric keypad would be.

PLEASE ADD a driver for this keyboard so the mouse-pad will work instead of having to go back to the controller when mouse functions are desired.

It would be awesome if beyond the mouse-pad, other functions or special keys on the keyboard functioned as well.

    :)

    usb issues

hey I have a external hard drive hooked up and just got a wireless keyboard to better facilitate reporting bugs and surveys what not for the preview program. the only problem is when the external hard drive is plugged in the wireless keyboard has horrible
lag or no functionality at all. the keyboard works fine if I unplug the hard drive.

any idea's to get these working at the same time?

  3. External HDD is disabling my USB wireless keyboard.

I've been using a USB Wireless Microsoft keyboard that works great on the xbox one. Recently, I purchased an External HDD (WD Elements 2TB USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive (WDBU6Y0020BBK-NESN)) and when the external HDD is plugged into a USB port on the console,
my USB wireless keyboard is disabled. USB wireless keyboard starts working again when I remove the external HDD.

I've tried booting the console from scratch by holding in the power button. Issue is still not resolved. Now if I plug one into the USB port on the side, the issue is fine. And after playing around with it a bit. the keyboard can sometimes get a signal through
when both the HDD and keyboard are plugged into the USB ports on the back.

It would seem that Microsoft put both USB ports on the back on the same IRQ channel and that the external HDD is taking up most of the bandwidth. Anybody know if this is true?

    Xbox keyboard and mouse?

I think the specifics of the question aren't about using mouse and keyboard, but rather if you can use a keyboard and mouse that operate via a wireless dongle.

That is, plug dongle into Xbox, then mouse and keyboard comme t to dongle, wirelessly.

I'm not sure that this works, though.

Upon looking at support site, which specifically states WIRED USB keyboard and mouse, so I'm unsure

EDIT: , there may in fact be models supported by console that are wireless, but not just any wireless keyboard will function so check first

    Keyboard support?

    Hey UncagedWAR,

    Keyboard support is now enabled.

You can plug most, if not all, keyboards into one of the available USB ports on the console and it will work as a functional keyboard.

There is also limited support for some wireless keyboards - it would be advised to create your own thread to find out which these are.

Why isn’t the Chatpad in the Xbox store?

    That doesn’t make any sense.

While the Chatpad does have a headset jack, but it’s primary function was to add a wireless keyboard to the controllers.

USB Bluetooth dongle support on Xbox One S?

The Xbox One and Xbox One S do not support Bluetooth in any way, and it does not contain any built-in drivers to interface with a Bluetooth dongle.

If you want to use an external keyboard, you can use:

    - The keyboard chat-accessory that attaches to the controller.

    - Your smartphone with the Xbox app (keyboard pops up when you are ready to enter text on Xbox).

    - Standard USB keyboard.

    - Wireless keyboard with its own included USB dongle (non-BT)
