"External Storage Ready" notification repeatedly, Crashes current game

i have a toshiba 1TB portable Hard Drive connected it is USB 3.0. My xbox keeps notifying me that "External Storage ready" and also crashes my game just before that happens

I'm now experiencing the same problem but now it's not even detecting my WiFi. Not sure what to do

Sorry to hear it. Can you please try holding the power button on your console until it shuts down to see if that helps?

I had this happening to numerous times already.

It looks like Xbox One system software needs to improve on USB 3.0 HDD support.

Powering down and up does not help me.

The USB 3.0 HDD works fine with Macs and PCs but Xbone just keep loosing the USB 3.0 link.

For some reason, support came in and locked the thread. Kind of shady, honestly, since the issue is still unresolved.
