External storage not showing up on Xbox One

Check your storage breakdown (not the one in My Games and Apps where it shows internal and external storage combined but the one in Settings>Storage) and make sure that your external HDD has enough space to complete its download.

Not my problem my external storage shows up it just appears empty but only on my xbox all my games and dlc show up on my brothers console whn its plugged in

To start out, are you installing the games to your Xbox One console's internal storage, or do you have an external storage device? If you're using external storage, try uninstalling one of the games and installing it your internal storage to see if there's

Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. I have split your post into its own thread in order to help you out directly. Whenever a game is moved from the internal storage to an external storage, a second progress bar shows up. This is not the game installing
again. This progress bar is showing how far along the game is from moving between storages.

Just to be sure, you can access your Storage settings. Access your internal and your external storage to look for any duplicates.
