    External storage not recognize anymore


    I bought a Western Digital My passport Ultra few weeks ago. Format went good, I was able to install games and play.

    But recently my One didn't recognize it anymore, I tried to unplug it and plug it back , unplug it and turn my One off and on, plug it etc.. and everything on the support page.

    But unfortunatly nothing fix my problem. My ext HDD is new, my computer recognize it when I plug it (but can't access it ) so I'm most likely thinking problem come from my One.

    Any ideas where it can come from?

    xbox one no longer recognizes external storage device

    My xbox one no longer recognizes my external storage device so I can not install any of our new Christmas games!

    Can you try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down then unplug everything from it and let it sit for 5 minutes?

    I can't record for more than two minutes on Game DVR

    2 minutes is the max, at 1080p, without an external storage device to save the videos to.

    Anymore than that, up to 1 hour, requires an external storage.

    Xbox is not detecting my external hardrive.

    Sometimes external HDD die, have you tried connecting the drive to your PC to see if it can recognize it? If the PC doesn't see it too then it's probably the external storage that is faulty.
