External Storage keeps crashing

Also, is it just one game that's affected or is it multiple ones?

All games. It seems to happen randomly.

I've been having this problem lately, where my brand new Seagate 1TB storage device I got in August keeps restarting mid game. I'll just be playing, and it will crash. A second later a notification will appear "External Storage Ready."

This is really annoying. Does someone know how to fix it?

OK i have heard of this problem often, Is your external hard drive powered by console or self powered by outlet?.

While my drive failure was a little different, Seagate does warranty the drives and they replaced mine that was about 6 months old. I had some trouble with their web support for replacement at first but eventually was able to get a new drive and now everything
is working great.

It sounds like it's a bad connection causing the issue. Have you tried a different USB port on the Xbox? Also try using a different cable to connect it to the hard drive and console. I realize these are usually special cables and may require you purchasing
one. Also go through the External storage troubleshooter to see if anything else is causing it.
