External storage device keeps disconnecting

I have a 1TB hard drive connected to my Xbox series X and it’ll disconnect every 30-40 minutes. When this happens the light on my controller will flash until the hard drive reconnects itself (takes a few seconds). This hard drive works perfectly fine on my Xbox one. Is there a way to fix this

How about an acknowledgment that this is an issue, and how about we get a patch already! There are THOUSANDS of ppl dealing with this, let’s get a fix OTHER than a hard reset!

just to be sure, are the games installed on the internal storage device or an external storage device?

If they are installed on an external storage device, please try and see what happens if the game is installed on the internal storage device and the external storage device is disconnected.

if the games are installed on an external storage device be sure to try and disconnect that external storage device and try to install them on the internal storage to see if that makes any difference.

Also be sure to run a network test on the console to see if that shows issues or not.
