    External SSD Problems


    I’ve recently brought a Samsung T7 Touch 500gb for use on the OG Xbox One and some games such as Kingdom Come Deliverence, GTA V and Forza Horizon 4 are having problems. KCD background music will repeat for about 5 secs every now and again and dialogue
    won’t load up like normal sometimes, also have pop in still. GTA V has froze for 5-10 secs while driving and then goes back to normal. Forza Horizon 4 has some loading/freeze issues too.

    Anyone know why this is happening and how to solve it? Thanks

    Rise of the Tomb Raider only starts with DLC installed, if console is switched offline.

    If anyone is interested, we managed to find that the problem only occurs if the game is installed on an external ssd.

    If the game is moved from the ssd to the internal hdd the problem does not occur. Formating the ssd and moving the game back did not fix the problem. Other games launch fine from the external ssd.

    The problem seems to be linked to (external?) ssds and (Rise of the Tomb Raider?) DLCs.

    I just checked Killer Instinct (with some DLC) on the external ssd and it worked without problems so...

    Hi SecretzOfWar94,

    The T7 should be more than capable for this use based on it's specs. It's possible that there may be a fault with your SSD. I would recommend contacting Samsung to see if they can offer a solution.

    Ive asked somewhere else and they have said that those particular games are having problems atm. I find that hard to believe that thats the reason for these happenings. Maybe your’re right that its faulty. I was thinking maybe i could format the drive
    and reinstall the game again, what do you think?

    im sure it is absolutely right idea. Sertificated external SSD, without problems with capability
