    External Memory Won't Transfer Games

Hi I bought a second 2TB external memory for my Xbox one. It's a hybrid SSD, had no issue formatting and it will transfer and run apps but every time you try to download or transfer a game from the network, internal, or the other external drive it fails
to transfer to the new external memory. Did a factory reset and also made sure I'm running in power saving mode. Also tried every USB port. Like I said it transfered and runs over 20 different apps quite well. Upon game transfer you will get download stopped
    0x8007045d. Any ideas?

    Sincerely,

    Super Bummed Gamer

    Jackie,

You really need an external hard drive. The minimum requirement for external storage is:

    -Must be a USB 3

    -must be larger the 256GB

You can use a memory stick but the external hard drives will probably be cheaper for more storage and better performance. I've used memory sticks mostly to transfer for capture game clips for video. For basic info: an Xbox One console can use upto 3
external storage device (HardDrives) upto 8TB each.

    Hope this helps

    New and Old Hard drives

You won't be able to save files on it while in-game.

When attached via an official transfer cable, the HDD shows up in System Settings, Memory as a Transfer Cable device. You can Copy or Move content to and from the Transfer Cable device just as you would other storage devices.

The Transfer Cable device is not usable outside of System Settings, Memory, that I'm aware of.

how to transfer minecraft "xbox one edition" world to usb

That would be duplicating, which you cant do. Transfering would be moving jr from say your xbox memory to an external hardrive

Using an external hard drive with an xbox one S

Personally, I have all of my large games on my external drive and anything smaller on the internal. Just so if I upgrade or have to transfer, I won't have to redownload the larger files. But that's up to personal preference.

Once you transfer them to the external, they will only be on the external. So yes, if the external breaks, you will have to redownload any content.
