    External hdd

    You should be able to swap your external drive between consoles without any problem, as long as your profile is on both consoles (the profile will matter for running digitally purchased games already installed on the HDD).

    Hey there xJASONx1996,

    As far as I know you may upgrade storage devices! What is on the HDD games? If so everything should be fine when switching over to a new console the only problem I would see is if you were transferring from Xbox to PC then that would require a format of
    the drive. Which would at that point loose everything that is stored on the drive I will post a support link below about moving from oringal Xbox one to the Xbox One S.

    Yes External HDD support is available. The External HDD must be at least 256GB in size and use USB 3.0. Keep in mind that the External HDD will have to be formatted for use with the Xbox One console.

    Do you have available any External HDD? If you have you can try to find if is a hardware issue in the Internal HDD by installing the games in a external hdd.
