External hdd

    My internal hdd quit on my slim.I have latest updates but sm still only able to use 32 gb of my 500 external. What am I doing wrong?

    have you re-formatted the hard drive since the update?

    The update won't re-allocate the space, it will however allow you to create a larger space to be used by the xbox.

    are they stored on the internal hdd or do you have an external hdd, if external is that working.

    Yes External HDD support is available. The External HDD must be at least 256GB in size and use USB 3.0. Keep in mind that the External HDD will have to be formatted for use with the Xbox One console.

    Next gen games cannot use external hdds

    Do you have available any External HDD? If you have you can try to find if is a hardware issue in the Internal HDD by installing the games in a external hdd.

    has the use of external hdds been confirmed by microsoft? and would we be able to play games directly from the external hdd?
